We invite you to the book "Kazimires Pyplys-Mazytis. Envoy of Lithuanian partisans to the West" presentation. The author of the book, Rita Pauliukaitienė, will share documentary material about the partisan battles that took place not so far from Birštonas.
Kazimierus Pyplius-Mažylis, known as a partisan legend, would have turned 101 years old this year. He was born in the village of Kebliškii, Pakuonis township, Prienai district.
"When in 1945 in the summer in the village of Skardupia A tall, blond-haired, blue-eyed guy appeared at Taurus County Headquarters, and the chief of staff, surprised by his height, exclaimed, "Wow, how tiny." This is where the nickname Mazytis came from. However, Mazytis was a great FIGHTER in the Freedom Struggle Movement.
The author of the book, R. Pauliukaitienė, will participate in the event.
