about

DUO ANDERSSON (Julija Andersson, violin and Paulius Andersson, piano) presents a program in which the most outstanding opuses for violin and piano will be played. The duo will open the concert with the sixth sonata for violin and piano by the classical genius Ludwig van Beethoven, which is considered one of the pearls of the chamber music repertoire. Duo Andersson will also perform a sonata for violin and piano by the French impressionist Claude Debussy. It is the composer's last work, composed in 1917, when Europe was plunged into the chaos and economic hardship of the First World War. However, this short three-part work bursts into a mesmerizing world of live rhythm, shimmering colors and nostalgia with ever-changing moods, surrounded by a quiet autumnal atmosphere of farewell. At the end of the evening, another masterpiece will be played - César Franco's Sonata for violin and piano, which is considered one of the most beautiful sonatas ever written for this composition. C. Franck wrote the piece in 1886. as a wedding gift to Eugene Ysaÿe, known as the king of the violin, the joyful and sensual sonata will end the evening on an optimistic note.
