The Sacred Museum is hosting the exhibition "Crosses of Exile" by Tito Milašius.
The author has said: "I named these crosses Crosses of Exiles, because I learned this technique of wood crocheting in Siberia from an exiled Lithuanian. The crosses have many decorative thorns, just like Christ's crown of thorns. They show how thorny the life of the exiles was."
This is a unique technique where stars are made from strips of lime wood and woven into a single work. Titas Milašius started creating around 2020. and did so until his death in 2024.
