To inspire to improve and push boundaries
A professional artist and art therapist who uses painting as a response to human suffering, life challenges, imagined and real limitations that one has to witness while working as a therapist. Art and psychology have shaped the artist's personality and are reflected in her narrative work, which is rich in archetypal symbolism. The works are intended for those who seek personal transformation, confidence, and everyone who intends to turn their dreams into reality. The artist's message: "Be the hero of your life, boldly create your own reality, everything is possible." The artist-psychologist invites you to be in touch with your soul, the world of feelings, and not to give up. The works are characterized by aesthetics, soft strokes, abstract intuitively poured backgrounds, and positive themes with natural elements.
Born in 1972 and raised in Kaunas, Aušra has been passionate about creating since childhood. After graduating from the A. Martinaitis Art School in Kaunas, she continued to create and study independently. She began her artistic journey with oriental painting, fascinated by its aesthetics and philosophy. The symbolic work of MK Čiurlionis and G. Jung is also close to the artist. In 1996, she graduated from Vytautas Magnus University, received a master's degree in psychology, later studied art therapy, becoming one of the pioneers of the profession in Lithuania. Her studies at the international Milan Art Institute encouraged her to paint professionally. In 2011, she founded the House of Creative Therapy - a private art studio, where she has been and continues to conduct painting and art therapy classes.
"Only the one who walks the path walks" Confucius
"I have loved drawing since childhood, I liked to immerse myself in my imagination, experiment, observe and, as it were, merge with the images I draw. It took many years of psychology, art therapy and painting studies and experience to mature as an artist. I am inspired by the stories I witness during art therapy, the beautiful nature of Lithuania, and experiences of personal development. With my work, I aim to inspire and encourage people to believe in themselves and that everything is possible for those who persistently strive for it, not to give in to despair, to boldly create their own reality, to improve, and to take care of their emotional and spiritual well-being." Since 2018, I have been creating mixed media on canvas. Most often, I have a vision, a message that I want to convey, but I start my paintings freely, intuitively pouring acrylic inks, allowing the painting to emerge, believing in the universal creative power that manifests itself through me. Later, I detail the painting, connecting it with my vision using acrylic paints, sometimes textural pastes, and collage. I finish the paintings with oil paints, which give the works depth and subtlety.”
