about

This painting cycle began in the fall of 2023 in Paris - by the bridges, by the river and under the clouds. In Paris, bridges don't just connect shores – they connect lives. By the Seine, under the bridges and around them, there is an endless hustle and bustle of the city: people sit on the embankments, chat, keep quiet, drink wine, play and sing, dance, families of rats bathe in puddles, swans swim in the river. The clouds above it all become an integral part of the city, like a link between the material and ephemeral worlds. You can watch them for hours and it will never be the same as an hour ago, a minute ago, or a second ago.
Two months later, after returning home to Vilnius, I continued to study the relationship between bridges, clouds and rivers. Arches of bridges, reflections in water and play of sky forms create images where space, time and natural elements become part of the whole. Here, in the end, the city becomes secondary, and the most important thing is the link between earth and sky, between the eternal and the transient. Clouds inspire my works not only with aesthetic beauty, but also with a deep layer of meaning - they symbolize the fragility of our existence, eternal change and connection with the environment around us.
Bridges and Clouds is not only a visual journey through urban landscapes, but also a deep immersion in time and space, where bridges, cloud formations and the flow of rivers intertwine into a coherent narrative of our own relationship with an environment that is ever-changing yet eternal. .
