about

Featuring Yuri Suchanov (piano)

The program will feature the most beautiful songs of joy and good mood

"Sometimes you get a feeling - I call it moments of happiness - when it's like an angel descends and affects not only you, but also the audience, because then they remember it for a long time. And then I see tears in the eyes of the audience. This is the biggest holiday for me. And the next time it might happen in a rural community, or it might happen in the Philharmonic Hall. But it doesn't always happen that way - angels don't come down that often", singer Judita LEITAITĖ said in an interview, opening her heart and the beauty of the song in her concerts. This afternoon, the soloist and her stage partners present the most beautiful pearls of Lithuanian song - both well-known melodies and vocal pieces rarely heard on stage.

Listeners and fans know J. Leitaitė as an active chamber music performer, laureate of international competitions, docent of the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater. The performer's musical activity is appreciated not only by the respect and love of the audience. The singer was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Vytautas the Great for services to Lithuanian culture in 2005. she was awarded the Government Culture and Art Prize. J. Leitaitė has become a "Golden Disk" laureate, she has been awarded the "For services to Vilnius and the nation" medal, the "Carry your light and believe" award of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania.

Currently, the soloist pays special attention to concerts in Lithuanian churches (she has visited about 250 churches), as well as concerts in old people's homes and social care institutions. The sacred music competition "Gorbė Visagaliuis" has been organized for the third year. As a bright soloist of sacred music works, J. Leitaitė sings at Christian festivals, among which is the "Pax et Bonum" festival, where she performed St. Clara's part in Algirdas Martinaitis' oratorio "Songs of St. Pranciškui", and for the first time in Lithuania he sang Samuel Barber's vocal cycle "Songs of the Separatists".
