The Lithuanian Youth Jazz Orchestra is the first combined youth-oriented orchestra in Lithuania that meets the needs of youth self-expression.
The aim of the project is to help young performers make contacts at the beginning of their musical journey and to give meaning to their music studies.
The core of the orchestra consists of young artists from Kaunas Jazz Academy and Klaipėda Jazz Orchestra, but the general geography of the performers is much wider - young people from all over the country gather here.
It is very important for the Lithuanian Youth Jazz Orchestra to maintain its own identity, to nurture creativity and self-expression through the art of improvisation. The performers of this group appreciate the naturalness - the traditional acoustic sound and distinguish this youth orchestra from the surrounding cultural environment.
The collective performed at the festivals "Broma Jazz", "Vilnius Mama Jazz", the Ariogalas Jazz Festival, the international jazz music festival in Šiauliai "Šiaulių naktys", successfully participated in the competition "Vilnius Jazz Young Power" organized by "Vilnius Jazz", played at "Prima.Studium.Pro" " in the cycle of academic music, at the festival of young performers at the Paežeriai manor homestead.
