There are three routes to choose from: from Birštonas to Priene and back. For those who like to diversify their trips, we recommend swimming and walking or vice versa. We recommend walking through the Žvērinčius forest and sailing in one direction.
While sailing on the route Birštonas-Prienai, you will get to know the picturesque landscape of the Great Nemunas Loops. While sailing, it is advisable to look around and observe nature, the river valley, coasts, slopes. In the stretch between the city of Prienai and the village of Lengveniškii, you sail past the islands, which are popular with birds. Since early spring, many ducks, seagulls, plovers, herons, herons, cormorants, swans, terns and little seagulls, and red-legged terns are busy on the islands. This area is part of the Great Nemunas Loops Hydrographic Reserve of the Nemunas Loops Regional Park. This is a very important area for the conservation of the rare species of the River Tern and the Lesser Tern.
