We kindly invite you to visit and admire the photo exhibition "Stopped Moments of the Past of Birštonas", where the captured images invite you to remember the history of the resort, to return to the years 1930-1970 and to look at Birštonas from the perspective of time.
The exhibition presents photos from the personal album of Albina Marijona Kaltauskienė and several postcards of interwar photographer Juozas Klim.
The family roots of Albina Marijona Kaltauskienė (Banišauskaitė) lead to the beginning of the Birštonas resort. Back in the 19th century In the first half, AM Kaltauskienė's great-grandparents lived in the village of Kampiškii, currently belonging to the municipality of Birštonas. Over time, the descendants of Beleški established themselves not only in the village of Kampiškii, but also in the vicinity of Birštonas. They had the opportunity to capture a changing resort.
The exhibition will be on display in the reading room (II floor) until July 1.
