“There Will Never Be Another Antwerp” (2024) is an album of jazz counterpoints, embellished with original melodies, conceived by renowned Lithuanian saxophonist and composer Leonardas Pilkauskas. This work is a heartfelt tribute to the city of Antwerp, inspired by its vibrant and friendly spirit.
The album brings together three Belgian jazz stars: Jelle Van Giel on drums, Ewout Pierreux on keyboards, Yannick Peeters on double bass, and Leonardas Pilkauskas on alto saxophone. The live music on the album combines elements of contemporary jazz, classical music, and avant-garde.
The album was recorded in July 2024 in Antwerp, Belgium.
