Everyone tries to push it away, to avoid it, to run away from it. Some ignore it, others try to overcome it with scientific innovations, and still others mock it. No one expects it, but it comes. It often catches us unprepared, because we spend our whole lives thinking that it is still very far away, that it is visiting others and will somehow miraculously bypass us. But it comes and stays, turning us into those who undeservedly still find themselves on the margins of society. It is old age, a merciless guest that no one expects.
In the play by the National Kaunas Drama Theatre, directed by Aleksandras Špileva, a colorful company of old men gather for the funeral of their childhood friend. They have so much to remember, so much to talk about. Only time is short… The comic play is full of humor, youthful memories, and wonderful older generation theater actors.
