Birštonas municipality has established new partnerships

The aim of this agreement is to develop mutual cooperation in the fields of sports and tourism, culture and the arts, education and community activities, and to take joint action in the implementation of various projects.
Netanya, like Birštonas, is a spa town. It is one of the largest cities in Israel in the central part of the country, with a population of about 257 thousand. population. The Lithuanian Honorary Consulate was opened in this city this year.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Netanya Miriam Feirberg Ikar, the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the State of Israel Lina Antanavičienė, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Israel Shai Schnitzer, the Commercial Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Israel Arūnas Karlonas.
During the signing, many beautiful reviews were received about the resort of Birštonas and its nature. Many guests did not hide their impatience to visit Birštonas.
On the second day of the visit, the Lithuanian and Birstonas resorts were presented to the Israeli media and tour operators. It was organized by Birštonas Tourism Information Center and Commercial Attaché Arūnas Karlonas.
During the presentation, everyone was most interested in the use of mineral water, the price-quality ratio, delighted that the staff working at the resort can speak Russian and English. Most of the participants intend to come in the near future and try out the tourism infrastructure of Birštonas themselves.
The Birštonas delegation also visited the Beit Guy Rehabilitation and Day Care Center for Children with Disabilities, met with the most talented students at Eldad School, who are already looking forward to visiting Birštonas Gymnasium and interacting with its students.
We look forward to the first delegation from the new partner, the city of Netanya! A return visit is expected to take place in early summer next year.
