Representatives of the Ukrainian resort town of Shack visited Biršton

During the meeting of Birštonas municipality representatives and guests, Šacko municipality mayor Serhii Karpuk presented the municipality, which is located in a unique region of 30 lakes. This municipality has great tourism potential, by 2022 has been actively implementing tourism infrastructure projects, but at the moment it has been stopped by the ongoing war.
Social, tourism and infrastructure development issues were discussed with the guests. Possibilities for future cooperation in the implementation of joint projects were discussed.

The delegation visited Birštonas institutions, sanatoriums, city parks, the observation tower, Škėvonii outcrop and other unique objects of Birštonas.
It is expected that the municipality of Birštonas will conclude a cooperation agreement with the municipality of Šacks and more than one joint project will be implemented.
