Sunny afternoon route
You can start your sunny afternoon with a natural mineral water in the yellow bouquet. Here you will travel to Vytautas Hill after tasting the natural mineral water Vytautas. After climbing Vytautas Hill and admiring the panoramic view of Birštonas resort, you will go to see the sculptures for Vytautas the Great, which you will find in Vytautas Park.
While walking in Vytautas Park, you will move towards the mineral water pavilion "Birutės vilas". After regaining your strength, you will go to refresh and taste the water of the Birutė spring, which flows from the head of a mythical creature. The nearby Kneipp therapy tracks will invite you to body hardening procedures. After the healing procedures, you will continue your journey by inspecting the graceful neo-Gothic red-brick St. Antanas Paduvietis Church. To find out more, visit the Birštonas Sacred Museum in the former rectory building.
After visiting the museum, you will go towards J. Basanavičius Square, where you will see a monument dedicated to Jonas Basanavičius. There are several cafés in the square where you can have a coffee or a refreshment before continuing your journey.
You will continue your journey on Vytauto St., which will take you to the Birštonas Museum. In the museum you can learn the most interesting facts about the history of the resort and see a number of valuable historical, artistic and technical exhibits. In addition, visits to Birštonas museums are free of charge.
After visiting the museum, you will enjoy a particularly healthy "sea effect" weather. You will visit the only mineral water evaporation building in Lithuania, Druskupis. Also, you can see the panel “Water Carriers” in the nearby Eugė Sanatorium.
Halfway through the route, we suggest you have lunch at the Essay Gastro Bar or visit other restaurants you will meet during your trip. If you get stronger, you will be able to make a selfie with Martynas Gaubas' sculpture "Container", which is a great companion for selfies. Oh, to make the personality exclusive - the impressive branched pine grows right next door.
You will return to the starting point of the trip on the banks of the Nemunas. You will be able to admire the Nemunas or try out the services provided by Birštonas boats. Towards the end of the route, you will visit Birštonas Kurhaus, one of the few surviving buildings of this type in Lithuania.
The last point on the route is Birštonas Tourism Information Center, where you can get the information you need, relax or buy a souvenir that will remind you of Birštonas.
