Žvėrinčius Oak
nature / audio guide
The hundred-year-old Žvėrinčius oak has been one of the major tourist attractions until recently. According to legend, the Lithuanian Grand Duke Vytautas rested under his branches during the hunt. However, in 2005, During Hurricane Ervinas, an old man of 1.8 m in diameter and 15 m in height was resting on a moss forest and resting there to this day. Travelers can see an unusually-looking collar-shaped pine alongside the fallen Žvėrinčius (Vytautas) oak.
