A whale that had been living sedentary for a long time near the "Tulpė" sanatorium decided to change.
The forces of the Birštonas city management service raised the decoration of the resort, made of the highest quality granite, weighing almost 5 tons. Banginukas leaves for a short time for beauty treatments and promises to return significantly rejuvenated and to delight the people of Biršton and the guests of the town during the traditional holiday of the resort.
According to the author of the sculpture, Zigmos Buterlevičius, the color of the whale will be updated, the body, which now consists of two separate parts, will be joined.
