Three championships are starting in Biršton - sports competitions in air, water and on land await

The 32nd Lithuanian Hot Air Balloon Championship will be held here from Thursday, the 20th Jet Ski Championship will start on Saturday, and the 2024 "Stiklita" Lithuanian beach football championship. The leaders of these three championships will be determined on Sunday.

The 32nd Lithuanian Hot Air Balloon Championship is being held in Biršton for the fifth time, where 25 pilots from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland are competing. Six competitive flights are planned, and the pilots compete for the name of the Lithuanian champion, the main prize and rating points, which will determine the list of the Lithuanian national team next year.
The Lithuanian hot air balloon championship takes place during the Birštonas resort festival, so visitors to the festival have the opportunity to watch the flights live and admire the rising balloons. On Friday evening, there will also be a fire parade of airmen - the championship teams will create an impressive spectacle for the residents and guests of the city by driving through the streets of the resort and releasing flames.

On Saturday and Sunday, the open first stage of the 20th Lithuanian Jet Ski Aquacross and Slalom Championships will be held in the Nemunas section near Birštonas, where 11 motorcycles of different classes and power will start. It is planned that about 60 participants from Lithuania and neighboring countries will register for the competition.

The opening of the "Stiklita" Lithuanian Beach Football Championship (Stage I) will take place in Biršton for the second year in a row. This championship consists of three stages, held in different Lithuanian cities. in 2023 the opening of the championship coincided with the opening of the Birštonas beach football field. Much more than usual sand was used for the construction of the field - 1 thousand tons, and it also meets all FIFA standards.
This year, six teams from Vilnius, Kaunas, Kupiškis, Mažeikiai, Panevėžys and Panevėžys districts will participate in the championship. The results of the teams of the first round will be announced already on Sunday.
